Aiko Mila Beemsterboer

Aiko played the lead role of Anne Frank in the feature film Mijn Beste Vriendin Anne Frank (2022). After a theatrical run, the film was released globally on Netflix and reached ‘second most watched film worldwide’ in the first week. 

Aiko is making waves in the industry, with a leading role in the box-office hit All Inclusive (2023). She has also appeared in De Liefhebbers (2019), the romantic comedy Wat is dan Liefde (2019) with Elise Schaap and horror flick JIMMY (2024) as well as the TV-series Het A-Woord (2020) and Lieve Mama (2020). Most notably, Aiko has been a series regular on the show Oogappels (2019-) for multiple seasons, which was awarded the Gouden Kalf for Best Series in 2025, and in 2023, the series also won the Golden Televizier-Ring

Other recent releases are Het Boek van Alle Dingen (2024) directed by Ineke Houtman, where Aiko plays a lead role alongside Sallie Harmsen and Daan Schuurmans and the Netflix film Ferry 2 (2024), where Aiko takes on the dynamic role of Ferry's bold and rebellious niece, Jezebel van Kamp.

She landed her first lead role in the feature film Vechtmeisje (2018) in which she played Bo, a twelve-year old talented but hot-tempered kick boxer. Vechtmeisje received multiple awards, among which the ‘Young Audience Award’ at the European Film Awards in 2019, ‘ECFA Award’ at the BUFF International Film Festival and the ‘Audience Award’ and ‘Cinekid Film Award’ at Cinekid. The film was well received by the Dutch press, with many positive notes on Aiko’s powerful performance.
