Nasrdin Dchar has been proven to be a truly remarkable actor, showcasing his incredible talent to both the big and small screen, as well as on stage. His performance in Rabat (2011) was so powerful that it earned him a Dutch Academy Award (Golden Calf) and a Rembrandt Award nomination for Best Actor. His talent in the short film Sorry (2013) was recognized with the Best Actor Award at the World Finale of the 48 Hour Film Project in Los Angeles.

Nasrdin’s rise to fame began with his leading roles in several feature films, such as Thirza (2010), Lotus (2011) and Süskind (2012). His performance in the award-winning Wolf (2013) which starred the same cast and crew as Rabat earned him even more acclaim. He went on to wow audiences with Infiltrant (2014) which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, winning the Grand Prize for ’Best Film’ at the First Time Fest festival in New York, followed by Tussen 10 en 12 (2014) which premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, In Limbo (2018) and Faithfully Yours (2022) which had a theatrical run and now available on Netflix.
Nasrdin is a familiar face on the small screen, starring in TV-series Deadline (2008-2010), Zwarte Tulp (2016), De 12 van Oldenheim (2017) and Morten (2019). He is the shining star of the hugely popular TV-series Mocro Maffia (2018-2023), a two-time winner of the Dutch Academy Award for Best Drama Series, and Het Gouden Uur (2022) directed by Bobby Boermans which has been met with rave reviews.
Dchar has been part of several renowned ensembles, playing both leading and supporting roles in plays like King Lear, Ghetto, and the 4-part epic The History of the Avenier Family. His monologue This Title is Fucking Difficult earned him the award for most promising theatre maker and Oumi, a monologue based on his interviews with his Moroccan mother, was chosen as Director's Choice at the Theatre Festival. He further pursued his passion for theater by crafting the heartfelt production of Dad and Yes and then went on to perform all three as an enthralling trilogy.
