Gaite Jansen is considered one of the most talented Dutch actors of her generation. She can be seen as a series regular on the HBO/Cinemax show Jett (2019) and Leopard Skin (2022) both opposite Carla Gugino and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez. Prior to this, she thrilled audiences with her memorable performance on BBC’s third season of Peaky Blinders (2016) where she played the intriguing Princess Tatiana Petrovna and Line of Duty (2017) where she starred in season four. Gaite is set to deliver a gripping supporting performance in A24's Babygirl, directed by Halina Reijn.

Despite her tender years, she has already starred in many leading roles, most notably in the acclaimed arthouse film 170Hz (2011) where she portrays a deaf teen for which she learned sign language, earning her nominations for Best Actress at the Seattle Film Festival and a Dutch Academy Award, Hoe Duur was de Suiker (2013) next to Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing that opened the Netherlands Film Festival and Supernova (2014) which screened in the Generations competition at Berlinale. She also starred in Steekspel (2012), an interactive project by maverick Dutch director Paul Verhoeven which won the International Digital Emmy Award in 2013, Knielen op een Bed Violen (2016) which earned her a second Dutch Academy Award nomination.
More recently, Gaite starred in 2 seasons of the Dutch hit-show Hollands Hoop (2017-2020). She also played the title role of Bo (2022), an arthouse film that closed the Netherlands Film Festival, and in the Netflix Original feature Happy Ending (2023) by Joosje Duk alongside Martijn Lakemeier. Shortly after, Gaite starred alongside Alicia Silverstone in Krazy House (2024), a thrilling Dutch comedic horror film that made its debut at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. Next up is the release of the Videoland series Safe Harbor where she plays opposite Alfie Allen, Charlie Murphy and Jack Gleeson.
Gaite graduated from the Maastricht Theatre Academy, one of the best drama academies in Europe. She worked on stage with internationally renowned theatre directors such as Tony-winner Ivo van Hove and Simon Stone. She played Ophelia in Hamlet vs Hamlet, starred in Medea, After the Rehearsal/Persona and The Silent Force.
