Daniël Kolf grew up in Suriname, where he began attending youth theater school at a young age. In 2015, he moved to the Netherlands to further his development as an actor. After a few guest appearances in series such as Mocro Maffia, he landed the lead role in the box office hit De Libi (2021) and gave a gripping supporting performance in the Netflix feature film Forever Rich (2021), for which he received a Dutch Academy Award nomination (Golden Calf).

Daniël became a young rising star and played supporting roles in productions like (Nieuw Zeer (2020-), Moedermaffia (2022-), Koeriers (2021-2022), I Don't Wanna Dance (2021), Follow de Soa (2021), De Edelfigurant (2020-2021), Lieve Mama (2020) and De Slet van 6VWO (2018), among others.
The release of Straatcoaches vs Aliens written and directed by Michael Middelkoop, is upcoming, with Daniël in a promising lead role. He will also appear in Bad Boa's, which is expected to be released worldwide on Netflix in 2025.
Starting in 2025, Daniel will play the lead role in the theater debut of filmmaker Shady El-Hamus, titled De Dood van Benny Simons, produced by Orkater. Just like in Shady's films, this production features a young man with grand dreams who suddenly finds his world shaken. In 2022, Daniel performed in the play OustFaust and The Damned at the prestigious International Theater of Amsterdam, where he joined the ensemble in 2023.
